THE COURSE DETAILS
The course "Concepts" by Rosario Giuliani is a comprehensive journey into the world of jazz language, dedicated to musicians who wish to enrich their phrasing with depth and personality.
Attention: the course is not only open to budding saxophonists, but to all musicians who need to enter the world of jazz with awareness, from phrasing to improvisation!
Through a combination of technique, creativity, and musical awareness, Giuliani addresses fundamental themes such as major, minor, and pentatonic scales, intervals, triads, and arpeggios, progressively integrating advanced concepts like bebop scales, chromaticism, and harmonic tensions.
Particular attention is given to enclosures and triadic pairs, essential tools for constructing phrases that find balance between tension and resolution.
"It is not just a simple technical course, but a journey that invites the musician to explore new ideas, to develop their artistic sensitivity, and to find original solutions within any harmonic context."
"Every proposed exercise, from the simple scale to the more complex chromatic passage, is designed to be practiced in different keys and situations, making it a dynamic laboratory for the modern jazz musician."
The course culminates in a session of free improvisation, where all the concepts covered are put into practice, providing a starting point for a personal and lasting musical journey.
