THE COURSE DETAILS
The course "Fingerstyle and the Art of Solo Playing #2", curated by Francesco Buzzurro, offers an in-depth and practical path for guitarists who wish to enrich their technical and artistic skills.
Following the success of the first module, this second chapter focuses on how to master fingerstyle and develop full autonomy in solo playing.
Through 12 lessons, the teacher guides participants on a journey that explores fundamental and advanced techniques, the harmonization of famous themes, such as "Over the Rainbow", and the dynamic management of complex solos, as in the famous piece "Spain" by Chick Corea.
The lessons provide practical tools to tackle different genres, from pop to jazz, including bossa nova and funk, offering a solid foundation for creating personal arrangements and building expressive solos.
Particular attention is given to the conscious use of scales, arpeggios, chromaticism, and the optimization of dynamics.
Each lesson encourages the development of a personal style through targeted exercises and the practical application of accompaniment and auto-comping techniques.
Thanks to the clarity of teaching and the wealth of musical examples, including those of an absolute master like Joe Pass, the course represents a unique opportunity for those who wish to improve their performance skills and musical creativity, with the support of one of the most appreciated contemporary guitarists.
Cherry on the cake: a fantastic booklet of over 100 pages, with all the transcriptions of the parts played by the Maestro.
The transcriptions were made by Francesco Di Giovanni and Lorenzo Cion, while the curator is Giuseppe Negri.
