THE COURSE DETAILS
The video course "My Way" by Dario Deidda represents a complete and in-depth journey dedicated to jazz electric bass, designed for musicians of all levels who want to refine their technique and approach the world of jazz with awareness.
Starting from the fundamental basics, such as the correct positioning of the right hand and the left hand, Dario guides the student through targeted exercises to achieve a clean, precise, and dynamic sound on each string.
An important chapter is dedicated to the major scales and their modes, addressed with attention to the chromaticisms, useful for enriching the melodic and rhythmic lines.
The technical approach continues with the study of exercises taken from the Hanon method, adapted for the electric bass, with the aim of improving finger fluidity and knowledge of the fretboard. A great deal of space is dedicated to arpeggios and pentatonics, essential tools for jazz language and for building a personal improvisation.
The chapter on walking bass delves into the development of effective melodic lines, with the aim of harmonically connecting the chords and supporting the band's groove.
Improvisation, treated as an expressive language, is the beating heart of the course: Dario explains how to listen to and follow one's musical ear, starting from simple melodies and building increasingly complex phrases.
With his experience, Dario Deidda offers an authentic, practical, and creative study, aiming to leverage technique to achieve a deeper and more sincere connection with music.
