ANDREA SAFFIRIO
Andrea Saffirio started playing the piano at the age of 7, studying classical music and ragtime, and later dedicating himself to jazz.
Active for years in the jazz scene, he has performed in the main clubs and festivals in Italy and Europe, being a finalist in various competitions for young musicians, winner of the "Jazz Live Award 2014" at the Fara Music Festival and the audience award at the "Chicco Bettinardi Award 2014."
He has collaborated, among others, with Aldo Bassi, Flavio Boltro, Fabrizio Bosso, Pietro Ciancaglini, Stefano Di Battista, Maurizio Giammarco, Rosario Giuliani, Eric Ineke, Massimo Morganti, Gegè Telesforo, Pietro Tonolo, Nicole Zuraits (Grammy Winner Artist) and others.
In 2022, he was a professor of Jazz Composition at the G. Nicolini Conservatory of Music in Piacenza.
In 2024, he was a lecturer in Jazz Composition at the G. Puccini Conservatory of Music in La Spezia.
Since 2017, he has been a teacher of jazz piano, improvisation, composition, and complementary piano at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome.
Currently, Andrea teaches jazz composition at the Conservatory of Frosinone.
